ELSR Cafés – Poppy's Barn

Update: They now add a service charge for groups of 6 or more. So slow and even more expensive. Best avoided.

Excellent cafe in every way except for speed, where they are just incredibly slow. A typical group will an hour wait for food.

Very popular though, so do book if taking a group there.

Also the location of the infamous eggs and cheese incident, where one member of Doppio, who will remain anonymous, asked for cheese on his eggs, which completely confused the waitress. We explained his unusual request by telling her that he was American, which was true. However, this seemed to confuse her even more as from then on she assumed he couldn't speak English and spoke to him very slowly and loudly about his cheese and eggs.
