Norfolk Coast Adventure

Another Andy Fry adventure! This time we took the train to Kings Lynn and rode through the beautiful Norfolk countryside to Norwich, to catch the train back to Cambridge (which was a bit of an aventure with only two bikes permitted per train and nine of us). Two cafe stops, one at Burnham Market and the other just outside Cromer. Highlights of the ride were visiting the highest point in Norfolk (105m ASL), Binham Priory and tea with the Queen at Sandringham.

Winter Gravel Riding

Taking advantage of once in 10 year conditions in Cambridge, a hardy bunch of EL riders set out for 54 km of snow and icy trails in sub zero conditions. Andy Fry led the group, taking advantage of frozen conditions to ride what would normally be mud fest fields and bridleways. We had a few offs on sheet ice, but no injuries other than bruised pride! An absolute blast.

Mersea Island Ride

One of the ELSR "Monument" rides, annual pilgramage to West Mersea Island and back for fish and chips by the sea. A really nice route, pretty car free until the last bit to the Island, when you can't really avoid them. A cafe stop on the way there and back to break up the ride.
